A lot of technologies have evolved which has created a tremendous impact on the automobile industry. These innovative and inspiring technologies mainly focus on conserving the fuel with the primary idea in mind that motor that is used today for a car or a two wheeler can be used for tomorrow’s purpose also. Some of the technologies that are used in the automobile industry to improve the energy and performance of the vehicle are fuel cells, out of combustion engines. Cylinder deactivation is another important technology in which two or more cylinders are used when car in which the cylinders are used is in an accelerating mode. Chrysler and Honda are already manufacturing cars which make use of this cylinder deactivation technology. Lot of fuel saving technologies has originated. Direct injection is one of those technologies which inject fuel directly into the cylinder chamber that is combustible thereby saving fuel energy.
